Oats with Organic Coconut Flower Syrup

- 2 ½ cups low-fat milk
- 2 ½ cups water
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 6 tablespoons CÓCOES Organic Coconut Flower Syrup
- 1 cup steel-cut oats
- Fresh blueberries, for topping
- In a medium saucepan, combine the water, low-fat milk, cinnamon, and unsweetened shredded coconut. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Once the base is simmering, stir in the steel-cut oats. Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan.
- Let the oats simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, especially towards the end.
- After 20 minutes, the oats should be tender and cooked through. If they seem too thick, whisk in a little more milk and water until you reach your desired consistency.
